A small print addiction
As you should know by now I get huge kicks out of printed stuff. I love how paper is something concrete in your hands, every piece of printed matter feels and smells different. If I see a publication I really like I must have it in my private library. A memory simply isn’t enough (especially with my memory), I want to be able to get back to these beauties when ever I want. Call it an addiction if you must.
Below are a few snapshots of some really nice publications I’ve happened to come across lately:

At this rate is an extremely good looking concertina folded booklet produced to raise awareness of the destruction of the Amazon rainforest for the San Francisco based charity Rainforest Action Network. It’s designed by Studio8 (thanks Matt for giving me this!). And if you are not familiar with Studio8’s work already I suggest that you take a look of their excellent portfolio.
Pretty-Ugly is lovely publication exploring the paradox of “designing the undesigned” by second year students at Central Saint Martins’ MACD course.
And last but not least there’s a type specimen book for New Zealand’s pride Klim Type Foundry. I had seen this book at our office and absolutely loved its simplicity and well crafted typographic detailing. Luckily I was able to catch one copy before it sold out last month.
